Eligibility Criteria for Stenographers
- Age: 18 to 40 years
- Education: Graduation
- 06 months diploma in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and Urdu composing from a recognized institute.
- English/Urdu typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m.
Eligibility Criteria for Constables
- Age: 18 to 25 years
- Education: Matriculation or equivalent
- Nationality: State Subject of First Class or Refugee
- Domicile: Azad Kashmir or Pakistan
- Physical Test: (Knock Out Basis)
- Height: 5 feet 7 inches for males and 5 feet 2 inches for females
- Chest: Minimum 33 inches with expansion of 1 1/2 inches for males only
- Run: One kilometer (KM) in 7 minutes for males and one mile (1.6 KM) in 10 minutes for females

How to Apply
- The interested candidates can apply online by visiting the NTS website and downloading the online form. They have to fill and submit the complete application form along with the original challan (NTS copy), two passport size photographs, national identity card, domicile certificate, and educational certificates.
- The written test fee is Rs. 680/- which can be deposited in any branch of the nominated bank on the challan form. Only the complete offline applications will be accepted. The applications received by hand or by email will not be entertained.

Instructions for Constables
- The candidates have to clear four stages of recruitment (written test, physical test, psychological test, and interview). The candidates who fail in any stage will not be eligible for the next stage.
- The written test will consist of two parts (MCQ and Descriptive). The descriptive test will include Urdu and English comprehension and essay writing. The MCQ test will cover Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, General Knowledge, and English.
- To qualify for the written test, the candidates have to score at least 40% aggregate marks and 40% individual marks in each subject. The candidates who pass the written test will undergo a physical test according to their height and weight standards. The candidates have to bring their own running shoes and water bottles for the physical test.
- The candidates who pass the physical test will have a psychological assessment before the interview. The candidates who pass the psychological assessment will have an interview with the selection board.
Instructions for Stenographers
- The candidates have to clear a written test and a skill test. The written test will consist of MCQs on Islamic Studies, Ethics, Pakistan Studies, and English. The skill test will include typing and shorthand in Urdu and English.
- To qualify for the written test, the candidates have to score at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% individual marks in each subject. The candidates who pass the written test will undergo a skill test according to their typing and shorthand speed and accuracy.
